About Muzayyin

A school built around the child

Muzayyin Montessori & School is a Montessori and primary school in Sector I-10/2, Islamabad, serving children from their earliest years through Grade 5.

Who we are

Small enough to know every child. Serious enough to prepare them well.

Muzayyin has been part of Sector I-10/2 since 1999 — a neighbourhood school with a clear purpose: to give children in I-10 and nearby sectors a first school that is calm, warm and academically sound.

Our Montessori classrooms give the youngest learners independence and a love of learning. Our primary classes build on that foundation with structured teaching in English, Urdu, mathematics and science, alongside Islamic and character education.

We celebrate national days, hold competitions and assemblies, display children’s art, and make sure every child gets a turn on the stage. It is, we hope, the kind of school children are happy to come to each morning.

Our values

What we believe

  • Care first

Children learn best when they feel safe, seen and liked. Warmth is not an extra at Muzayyin; it is the starting point.

  • Curiosity over compliance

We would rather a child ask a good question than memorise a wrong answer. Thinking is taught, practised and praised.

  • Partnership with parents

You know your child best. We keep communication open, honest and regular, so home and school pull in the same direction.

  • High expectations, gently held

We believe every child can do good work, and we hold that belief steadily — with patience rather than pressure.

Our approach

Montessori roots, primary rigour

The prepared environment

Classrooms are ordered, beautiful and child-sized, so children can work independently and take care of their space.

Observation before instruction

Teachers watch closely and step in at the right moment — enough support to succeed, not so much that the child stops trying.

Structure that grows with the child

As children move into primary grades, routines, homework and assessment increase gradually, never abruptly.

Faith and character woven in

Daily duas, stories and simple habits of kindness make good character something practised, not just discussed.
